Cats and Apartment Life

Cats make wonderful pets for apartment dwellers because they can stay inside all the time and they can live in fairly small places. However, before bringing a cat home, check your lease. Some landlords don’t allow pets at all and others put a restriction on the number or size of your pets. You may have to pay a security deposit or a little extra in your rent if you have a cat. Set up the litter box and eating/drinking stations in separate areas. Offer your cat toys and a bed. A few window perches are a welcome addition. Give your cat access to places to hide if she wants to be alone. Ensure your cat has daily exercise and play sessions to keep her happy and healthy. And consider asking someone to stop by and visit if you will be away for long periods of time. Talk with your vet Crown Point, IN to learn more.
