Canine arthritis symptoms

Your dog is heading into his senior years, and you are aware of the fact that canine arthritis typically shows up in this age group. How can you make sure you notice if your pet seems to be impacted by arthritis?

Your pet will need you to be able to recognize the differences between her typical behavior and how she will be acting should arthritis become an issue. This means being able to spot some common symptoms, like your pet avoiding specific movements, visible discomfort in her joints due to certain positions, and generally increased lethargy. She may also show some changes in her favored activities, as some may be too painful. Tossing and turning while trying to rest is also a common symptom, as arthritis may prevent her from getting comfortable. For more information, please contact your local Racine, WI vet.
