You know that the litter box needs to be scooped frequently. You also understand that you need to dump out the litter and replace it every once in a while. But, what about a deep clean? Do you ever need to scrub your cat’s litter box?
In general, the litter box doesn’t ever need to be scrubbed from top to bottom. After all, your pet is just going to go potty in it again when you’re done! Scooping frequently and scraping the bottom of the box will make sure it stays relatively clean.
However, if you notice that your cat doesn’t want to use his box, or if he’s been sick recently, you may want to consider a deep clean. You may also want to scrub it out if it’s starting to stink up your home!
