Dealing with a Lonely Bird

Dealing with a Lonely Bird.jpg
Some birds, like finches and canaries, don’t mind spending time alone. Other birds, like parrots, can’t stand being alone for a long periods of time. Here’s how to deal with your parrot if he’s feeling a bit lonely.

The easiest way to deal with this problem is simply to remove your parrot from his cage more often. Let him out in the morning when you’re getting ready for work and plan to spend the better part of your evening entertaining your feathered friend.

You may also consider hiring a sitter to stop over for an hour or two each day to play with your bird. Some boarding facilities also offer bird daycare.

Getting your parrot a friend can help too! To learn which parrots like living together and which species don’t get along, visit with your veterinarian Moorpark, CA.
